Season 6 Episode 8:
Jacquie Berglund, Founder and CEO of Finnegans Brew Co.
Jacquie Berglund is the Founder and CEO of FINNEGANS Brew Co, the Rambunctious Social Entrepreneur and driving force behind a beer brand that has generated over two millon dollars in community impact since its inception in 2000. Through the creation of FINNEGANS SBC, and its nonprofit counterpart FINNEGANS Community Fund, Berglund has championed an innovative, market-based approach to addressing issues around food security in communities across the Midwest.
Berglund is also a leader in supporting purpose-driven ventures through FINNOVATION Lab, a social business incubator she founded in 2017. One year later, she literally brought all of her businesses together under one roof at FINNEGANS House, a place to be social and do good, which serves as an anchor for the East Town/Eliot Park neighborhood in downtown Minneapolis.
A graduate of Augsburg College and the American Graduate School in Paris, Berglund has degrees in Communications (BA) and International Relations and Diplomacy (MA). Her background ranges from bringing government officials together to train on market economy laws through the OECD Baltic Rim Forum, to serving as Marketing Director for Cara Irish Pubs in Minneapolis - where the spark for FINNEGANS was first lit. She has pursued her entrepreneurial spirit with a laser focus on making the world a better place.
Driven to innovate with astute leadership that rallies people for a cause, she has built a mighty team of 8 full-time dedicated staff, 15 part-time staff, and 100s of volunteers and supporters to move the mission forward and scale FINNEGANS' impact. Together, the FINNGANS team is dedicated to raising awareness and funds to alleviate significant hunger issues in the communities they serve.
